This was constructed as a  Madrassa which is situated for purpose of Islamic teaching. Even today the cells and the room’s portray the story of studying and teaching. The Ashraf Mahal actually means that it is a palace of gold and was constructed by Mohmmad Shah Khilji. The Ashraf Mahal is placed in front of the Jami Masjid. There are many other structures placed in the same complex. A tower is situated in the Mahal which is around 7 storey high when it was constructed. This tower was constructed to define the victory over Rana Khumba who belongs to Mewar by Mahmud Shah Khilji. Unfortunately out of these entire seven storeys only one is surviving today. The tombs present on the same are ruined today which was considered as the last structure of Mandu. However, these constructions are no more because of bad planning and faulty constructions. But if we compare this to other structures, then Ashraf Ali is in quite a good shape.
