The major tourist attractions in Along is the Ashrama Ramakrishna Mission. The temple of Dayani Polo is newly constructed which is excellently worshipped by the tribes situated over there. The term “Dayani” is the Sun and “Polo” means the moon. Besides these two, you can move your steps towards the museums and other scenic grandeur of the place.
Akashiganga Waterfalls :
The Purana Kalika Temple in the 8th century, where the holy Sati fell in the Akash Ganaga with a distance covering 25 km down the way towards Along-Assam to the stream of Silapathar and so it is called as Akashiganga falls. It is believed that dips in holy water wash off the sins and hence fairs are been arranged during the month of Chaitra Sankranti. The view of the turbulent Brahmaputra River is enchanting.
