Terrains :

Mostly hilly terrains cover the state. Narrow and deep gorges form a significant part of the landscape.  The eastern side of the state has a little bit of flat plains.

Climate :

The general climate of Mizoram is quite pleasing. The summers in Mizoram are not very hot and temperature stays within 20 to 30 degree Celsius. Heavy rainfall is witnessed in the state during Monsoons.

By Air : Lengpui Airport is the only airport in the state.

By Rail : Bairabi rail station is an important train station which is primarily availed by goods trains. Silchar in Assam is the nearest rail station which is just 6 kms away from Aizawl.

By Road : The road in Mizoaram is generally along themonutains and they connect all important cities of the state.
