Ngengpui Wildlife Sanctuary covers piece of land of about 110 square kilometer that lies near the boundary of India – Bangladesh. This Sanctuary has the elevation of about two hundred m to 1200m high from the sea – level. The sub steamy evergreen forests as well as the semi ever green forest are found here in this Sanctuary in Mizoram. The sactuary is enclosed by the seven villages all around. The sanctuary has been managed by the Range administrator with the help of headquarters from Nngepui along with the five beat officers who are from DFO Chhimtuipui Forest Division.
The Bionetwork at Ngengpui Wildlife Sanctuary :
The steamy forest that is present in the Mizoram are rich with the species found here of both the animals and the vegetations. The landscape of sanctuary is filled with the numerous fauna and flora. You can watch the various species of botanical plants and trees in Ngengpui Wildlife Sanctuary which is located at Mizoram. Baboo is the major types found here in abundance.
The Fauna :
Here you will get to see numbers of wild animals, which you haven't seen such as clouded leopard, gaur, sambar, rhesus macaque, common langur, elephant, barking deer, hoolock gibbon, wild boar, leaf monkey, etc.There are many migratory animals that can be seen in this sanctuary coming from different corners of whole world.
The Natural World :
This sanctuary is bestowed with many of the rare species that are found here like hombills, tragopans, pen-pheasants, sun-birds & flower-peckers, & thrush family. |
