Monsoon is the dominant season of Nagaland and the weather remain quite humid in the state. The place is not to hot during summer and during winter temperature usually stays up to 4 degrees Celsius. At high altitudes snow is also seen.

The tiny state of Nagaland has a single airport located at Dimapur. The airport of Dimapur has regular connectivity through flights to Delhi, Kolkata and other parts of India.

The state come under the North Easter Railway of Indian Railway and Dimapur is the most important railway station of Nagaland.

Nagaland State Transport Association connects almost every town and villages of Nagaland through buses. The bus service commences from the state’s capital Dimapur and takes to different parts within Nagaland. Busses to cities of neighboring states are also found such as to Shillong, Guwahati and Mokochung.
