Baunsa Rani Dance of Orissa state is another folk dance, which was performed within the entire Orissa state. The meaning of the Baunsa rani is actually means Bamboo queen. This regional dance of Orissa state is only practiced by the regional girls. You must be thinking why it is called as Bamboo queen, because this dance is only performed by the help of bamboos.

 

The girls climb over the bamboos and they do the aerobic movements. The bamboo is always in crossed position, before the performance they People tie the girls to that crossed bamboo with rope. With rhythmic song and beat of drum the dance gets start. This dance form of the Orissa is also unique and unusual, which people don't get to see everywhere else in the India. The performing girls arrange their dancing movements with synchronization of song and drums. It is very interesting and thrilling dance form, which actually stops your breathing.
