Dhanu Yatra is cordially related to the incident of God Krishna’s yatra to the town of Mathura to observe the ritual of Bow prearranged by (Kansa) as depicted in Bhagawat Purana. The reality and the drama are indissolubly merged. The fiesta prolonged for (7 - 11 days) earlier to ('Pausa Purnima'), (full-moon day), that falls in the month of (December-January) annually.
