The location of Orissa is to the eastern coast of India, the capital of this state is Bhubaneswar. The location of Dhauli is on river Daya’s bank which comes after covering some distance of the main road on the way to Konark or Puri from Bhubaneshwar. This hill was a witness to the war that took place in the 3rd century BC, Kalinga war; this was the time when a great transformation took place in the world.
Coming downwards to the chief road by steps in front of Cave-17, & going up the road covering the distance of 15m, the sightseer will get a glimpse of the track to his left side foremost to the pinnacle of the Khandagiri hill. By following this pathway for some metres, you will encounter the 1st cave of the hill. |
