As natural Landscapes of the country vanish and get replaced by Concrete walls, people India are searching for greener pastures to escape the smoke, dust and pollution of the city. People from all over the country now visit places such as Ambapani Sanctuary in Orissa which is known for its lush green flora and fauna and for its diverse species of wildlife.

Animals and Birds :

Ambapani Sanctuary is serves as natural shelter for wide variety of animals and birds. Some of the most distinct varieties of Panther include the Black Panther, the tiger and the spotted deer. The sanctuary is located 77 km from the quaint little town of Bhawanipatna about 45 km from Nowrangpur which is famous for its old world charm.

The sanctuary is a favorite haunt for both tourists and nature lovers.

The Hills of Ambapani offer a panoramic view of the entire Landscape. The valley of Haladigundi showcases erratic cases which show certain erratic shapes due to the reflected sunrays.

Biodiversity :

The Ambapani sanctuary of Orissa is known for its bio diversity and for its dense mangrove ecosystem. It is the second largest evergreen repository in the world.

Ambapani is both a sanctuary as well as a national park. There are more than 50 varieties of mangrove plants which consist of wide unusual variety of plants.
