Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary, Tripura sways over a total area of (197.7 sq km) always known as a heaven for nature and animal lovers. It is copious in fauna and flora. Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary is placed at Tripura and can be accessed moreover from the town of Sonamura placed in northern end of Tripura or from the southern end town of Belonia. This sanctuary was launched in the month of November, in the year 1988. The safe place is prosperous in tracts with plentiful area of low vegetation and virgin shrubs. The haven is tripped by many academicians, school children, botanists, tourists; etc. Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary has a speckled assortment in the kind of plants and animals colonizing it. The sanctuary is completely designed for learning, amusement and various other activities.
The safe haven provides a charming percept of wildlife in this state. Bison is also called as Indian Gaur is the most important magnetism of this safe haven. Distant, there are multiplicity of pheseants, Golden Langurs, Hooklock Gibbon, birds, Capped Langurs, Deer and other species of aerial and land animals. Annually at the time of winter season, wandering birds from (Siberia) gather to this site.
