This museum was lunched during the 1985 year through the Chandigarh Administrator's Advisor Mr.K. Bansal. Around five hundred ninety five dolls are available in this museum which belongs to the various countries such as Spain, Turkey, Russia, Finland, Hungary, Austria, France, Spain, Denmark and many Southern Eastern Asian countries such as Korea, China, Hong Kong and Japan. The dolls which are present in museum are the sight of lifestyles and traditions of around twenty eight countries.
It also contains illustration of various fairy tales such as Aladdin, Sleeping beauty and Cinderella, made through the regional artists, one of the artists' stands at museum's entrance point to greet the visitors. It also consist portraits of great Hindu & Christian epics such as Jesus Christ's life history and Ramayana that are really very educational and interesting for small kids. This museum faces the unavailability of electricity that’s why you might get the difficulty in watching the glorified fairy tales. The huge train models and 10 ceramic murals complete the entire collection of museum.
