Kullu :
Kulanthpita was the name earlier for Kullu which means the end of world that is suitable to live in. Besides the bank of river Beans and beyond the heights of Great Himalayas lies the amazing ‘Silver Valley’. The mix of number of valleys is here which is more beautiful than others. The scapes of mountains are spectacular in the sunshine which gives a pleasant feeling. The treasure of nature is in the ‘Silver valley’ that is with the different and beautiful flowers lying all over the high meadows.
The idol of Lord Raghunathji was brought by Raja Jagat Singh in 17th century from Ayodhya. The town of Kullu is a center where everyone has faith in God. The idol became the deity of the valley when it was kept by Raja Jagat Singh on his throne as a sign off his penance.

Kullu Dusshera :
This is celebrated when the celebrations of Dusshera ends in the other parts of the country. More than 6000 local people come to worship Lord Raghunathji all the roads lead to Dhalpur Maidan with people dressed in colorful clothes. To celebrate this festival folk dance, cultural programmer and exhibitions are held by the people.
Dhoongri Fair :
The month of May is full of water sports like Regattas and river rafting festival. Kullu celebrates this festival to worship goddess Hadimba Devi.
