Manali :

In the lap of Kullu valley, the ancient town Manali is situated with huge peaks all around.The main attraction of Manali is the snowline there which makes it a famous honeymoon destination for the people from all over the country. It is also a popular destation for the trekkers and for people who love adventure sports.

Manali is the hottest place in Himachal among the tourists. There are many temples in Manali such as temple of Manu, Hadimba Temple, Arjun Gufa and Tibetan Temple which are also great tourist’s attractions.

‘Home of Manu’ is the meaning of Manali. The mythological character of Manu is said to be survived when there were floods all over the world. The human life was recreated by him, when he came to Manali. The temples over here are treated as a pilgrimage by Hindus.

Manali has a very cold climate due to the Himalayas surrounded all over and the snowline is near to the place. The summer is cool and is the best time to visit this place but in winters the climate is below freezing point with heavy snowfall. In monsoons there is heavy rainfall which sometimes causes landslides. Between the months from May to October is the best time to visit this place.

Shopping :

The woolen goods are famous all over the world, specially the shawls. Near the bus stop there is NSC New shopping Center where good collection is available. The malls in Manali have good options that include decorative items, clothes, and gift items and many more.

Handicrafts in Manali are the speciality which includes Prayer wheels, dorjees, amulets, musical instruments, masks, thangkas and jewellery.

Transportation :

 

Air : Bhuntar is the nearest airport to Manali. From there you can hire a taxi or take a bus.

Railway : The nearest railway station is Jogindhar Nagar. The station is 95kms away from Kullu with the Narrow railway track. From Kullu if a taxi is hired than you can enjoy the scenic beauty on the way and can stop the taxi at the place you wish too. The service of buses is also available.

Road : The service of private and public buses is available and the roads are well connected with the other major cities and state. The way from Kullu to Manali can be enjoyed with the beauty of the nature.
