The verdant land of Himachal Pradesh has a lot to offer you in terms of tourist destinations like heritage buildings, Temples, hill stations etc. the climate of Himachal Pradesh will also have great variety in it. The summer season in this state starts from April and continues till middle of June. The state experiences a freezing weather during winter, which continues from November to February. The winter is made romantic with heavy snowfall in Himachal. Snowfall is experienced at a height of 3000 mts above sea level. On an average 3 mts of snowfall is recorded each year.

The climate of Himachal Pradesh becomes unbearable during the monsoons. The monsoon season lasts from June till September and the heavy rainfall often brings natural calamities like flood and landslides. It is always advisable to avoid visiting Himachal during the monsoon season. The best time to enjoy this hilly state is during the moths of March and October.

Since Himachal is a hilly region, proper clothing is required to protect you. Winter clothes as well as water proofing should be done as you can experience surprise.
