This is one of the prime wildlife sanctuary located at Churdhar peak, it is around three thousand six hundred and forty seven meters high. Within the ranges of Himalaya, it is the biggest peak. It is akin to Alpine area's Oasis within the temperate forests. You won't be able to capture the entire beautiful and amazing view in one look; because it is such a huge and splendor. This abode of wild animals got its name by Chur Peak; try to visit, this mountain's peak point, because here you will get to see the small but noticeable presence of Shiva. There is one surety that you will explore a huge number of colorful agile Monals on the forests. The complete covered land of Churdhar Sanctuary is about five thousand six hundred and sixteen hectares. This sanctuary was registered on 1985 November 15. Among the all sanctuaries of Himachal Pradesh, this is the  newest. By the regional annihilation point of view, this sanctuary comprises of a nice environment for other pheasants and Monals. Rest of the fauna is of the Barking Deer, Prevalent Leopards and Langur, Musk Deer, unfortunately Musk Deer got exhausted through hunting. Here you will get a chance to enjoy trekking, because this part of Himachal Pradesh is the best place for trekking, but for that you need to visit the Churdhar Sanctuary during the season of early winter and summer. You will have a lot of fun trekking on Sarain, Nohra and Pulbahal which are known for its rough and tough land. So be ready to explore this region with thrilling trekking experience.

How to Access :

Toy train is one of the images of Shimla city; here you will need to travel from Kalka towards Shimla through a toy train. Here you will get very good rail service to travel within the state. From Kalka, you will easily get trains from different major parts of India. Journey on a toy train will be a lot of fun because in your daily life you won't get an opportunity to travel through such a cool and comfortable train.

Here you can even reach through air, the nearest airport from Shimla is Jubbarhatti, and the distance between these two spots is twenty three kilometers. You can even catch straight flights from the national airport of Delhi.

The road Transportation at this sanctuary is also well developed; the roads are connected through road to Himachal Pradesh state's capital city and also other prime places of state. From Delhi, you will easily get frequent bus services towards Chandigarh and for Shimla also.
