Now you are at a splendid sanctuary, where you can reach from Dalhousie through trekking, so this journey will be different and thrilling from your earlier journey. The petite but sheer ascent takes you to this sanctuary, that time you will actually feel very refreshed and energetic. This entire Kalatop Khajjiar Sanctuary is completely wrapped by Fir forests and wide Deodar trees, because it is near the Dalhousie village, it is surrounded by beautiful and splendid surroundings. Here you will get to see numerous types of animals such as deer, Ibex, leopards and bears and many more scarce animals. You will be actually amazed by seeing such a colorful and wild animals, but when you hang out inside the sanctuary be aware of the black bear. The most important thing which you need to remember before entering inside the sanctuary is to take proper permission for driving; for permission you need to contact Forestry Department that is located at Chamba.
