Positioned within Malerkotla district, Ahmedgarh is an agriculture-based city and is laced with numerous small scale units that have been set up here. Also famous as a dry port of India, the city is acting as a municipal council of Sangrur District. Ahmed Ali Kahn laid down the foundation of the place in the early twentieth century. It is located at about 26 km from the city of Ludhiana and is accessible by roads.
