Positioned within Malerkotla district, Ahmedgarh is an agriculture-based city and is laced with numerous small scale units that have been set up here. Also famous as a dry port of India, the city is acting as a municipal council of Sangrur District. Ahmed Ali Kahn laid down the foundation of the place in the early twentieth century.
