Badhni Kalan is a nagar pachayat in the district of Moga. This relatively new district was added to the political map of the state in 1995. Creation of this district was the result of the continuous efforts that were done for years.

Anand Ishwar Darbar :
Jora Singh Maharaj was responsible for the creation of this holy Gurudwara. Jora Singh abstained himself from worldly pleasures and devoted his life in service of God. Divine studies interested him from the beginning. The construction of the structure got completed in the year 1980 after which Granth Sahib was installed in its premises. The guru stood in front of the book with full reverence and requested to suggest a name for the building. The Gurudwara is visited by a large number of local inhabitants daily; sacred chanting of Granth Sahib takes place here and is listened with sheer devotion by Sikh followers. The place is massive and is a seven storey. Other renowned names associated with this special place are Nand Singh and Isher Singh.

A number of other Gurudwaras are present in the area surrounding Badhni Kalan. Many of the structures belong to the Mughal period. Several milk based industries are present nearby. Dina Sahib, Lopon, and Chand Nawan are other sacred places that Sikh followers visit. A grand temple is present in Geeta Bhawan.
