The festival of Maghi Mela or Holi is structured to memorialize a scuffle fought in the year (1705-06) by (Guru Gobind Singh) versus the Mughals.This fiesta lasts for 3 days and commences on the eve of Makar Sankranti.

The multicolored fiesta of Holi (Phalgun Purnima), commences in the month of February or early March. The fiesta of Holi has a prehistoric derivation and fetes the victory of good deed over bad deed. The multicolored fiesta bridges the communal gap and refurbishes the charming relations. On this eve, people embrace and wish everybody.

The fiesta of colors, Holi is celebrated all across the state of Punjab with affluent decorations at frantic shops that creates a colorful ambiance. Dazzling colors of colored powders also known as gulal and amber fill the atmosphere and groups wait for their turns in bucketing color water above each other. Kids take unusual pleasure in pertaining colors on every one and flinging water balloons on passer by.
