Maghi Mela is prearranged to celebrate a conflict that crusaded in the year (1705-06) by the Sikh guru Guru Gobind Singh in the opposition of the Mughals. Maghi Mela endures for 3 days on the eve of (Makar Sankranti),(January).
Celebration :
On the very 1st day, all the worshippers take a shower in the holy (Muktsar Tank) - which is said to be the puddle of recovery.The 2nd day commences of the holy procession to all the 3 sacred mounds, namely, Mukhwanjana Sahib Rikab Sahib and Tibbi Sahib and. (Rikab Sahib).It is the same place where Guru’s Gobind Singh’s stapes had broken down.
Folklore :
It is believed to be the final battleground of (Guru Gobind Singh) that essayed to be the most crucial conflict in the martial History of Sikhs. Factually the name Rikab Sahib means “the puddle of deliverance". The (40 Sikh warriors) who were opposed to death on this ground in opposition with the (Mughal Empire) more than 300 years ago are commemorated with prayers. |
