Rajasthan Places to see TRANSPORT

The transport system in Rajasthan is of utmost importance when we talk about tourism in Rajasthan. This is because Rajasthan is a state of extreme climatic conditions. It is too cold during winters and nights, while too hot and dry, during the summers and daytime. Hence, accomplishing even a single day of traveling through any part of Rajasthan without the help of transport facilities is just not practically possible. Jaipur, along with being the capital of the state, is also the main hub of transport in Rajasthan. All intra and inter state transport has a connection with Jaipur. Be the distance of journey long or short, Jaipur has to be encountered at least twice. Let us have a look at different modes of transport in Rajasthan.

Usually, camel is called the ship of the desert, and Rajasthan is the ruling state in India when talking about deserts. It is true that during olden days, camels used to be the only and most important mode of transportation throughout Rajasthan. But with time, there evolved more and newer ways to carry out the activity of tour and transport within and outside the state. Via 3 ways, a tourist can travel into and in Rajasthan.

By Air :

The very first step is to enter Rajasthan. If you are a foreign tourist, or an Indian but from some other far off state, you will have to opt either for railways or for airways to come into the state of Rajasthan. There are numerous private companies and airline services that operate and schedule flights to and fro Rajasthan. Most international flights land in Jaipur, while Udaipur and other airports in the state serve as hubs for domestic landings.

By Rails :

If you take a look at the railway map of India, you will see a web of rail networks connecting states and cities to one another. Rajasthan is a big part of this network of railway lines. There are numerous rail services serving as transport in Rajasthan, inter and intra state. One of the excellent railway connections in the entire country is the one from Rajasthan to Delhi via the Shatabdi Express, which takes a little more than 4 hours to lapse the span. Also, there is the Intercity Express, of almost 5 around a half hour journey, which serves as a convenient chair car option for a short duration traveling.

By Roadways :

Roadway transport in Rajasthan is the most traveled by, throughout the state. There are buses, tempos, cares, private vehicles, gypsies and so on to travel from one city to another. For short distance transportation, there are auto and hand driven rickshaws, which dominate the catalogue of local transport modes. The roadway vehicles most used for sight seeing purposes in the state are luxury buses, RVs and vans, for group touring. For private touring, cars and jeeps are taken. Luxury buses can be A/C or non- A/C and deluxe or non deluxe. Ultimately your budget decides what you want to travel and transport by. Apart from intra state and intra city transport, roadways are also used for traveling to and fro Rajasthan from other nearby states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh.

You can also hire vehicles for a total number of days you plan to be in Rajasthan, so that traveling suits your time. But this kind of a luxurious facility costs as much as it satisfies you. You can also hire RVs to travel and stay, for all the time. It is a convenient but too expensive option.
