History of Shri Ramdevji Temple :

Shri Ramdevji temple is located in Ramdevra in Runicha near Pokran in Jaisalmer district. It was built by Maharja Ganga Singh of Bikaner around the Samadhi of Baba Ramdev. Ramdev was born in the household of Ajmalji in the Tomar Rajput. Ramdev is meditated to have been an incarnation that was sent by God for the enrichment of humankind. He was a great saint of the village who believed in equality of human beings. His thinking was different than other people about social stratification based on caste, class creed or sect. He was practicing the equality.

Architectural Creation :

This sacred place is not an architectural wonder but still it is attractive. In the campus of temple there is a Ramdevji's image is placed. The images of other family members of the Ramdevji can also found here. The temple has been brightly colored. Shri Ramdevji temple is decorated with the statues of silver horses. Temple is not highly decorated but still there are some notified attractive aspects.
