Desert National Park :
It is one of the largest national parks of India and is located near the famous city of Jaisalmer.One have known Jaisalmer for its rich and glorious palaces but visiting the national park inculcates a feeling of diversity with the wild life. The sand of Thar Desert and Golden city of Jaisalmer inculcates the name desert national park. About 20 percent of this park is covered with sand dunes.Milak Talao Lake, Rajbaugh Lake and Padam Talao are three lakes majoring in providing water to the wild life of the Desert National Park.

The birdlife at Desert National Park is quite with large number of resident and migratory birds. Larks, Shrikes, Sand Grouse, Bee eaters, Partridges are the most common birds found. Long legged and honey buzzards, Spotted Eagles, Vultures, Houbara,Doves,Indian Rollers, Kestrels, Tawny Eagles, Sand Grouse, Falcons, The Great Indian Bustard, Demoiselle cranes are also found here.
