Lolark Shasthi Festival is a popular festival of Varanasi that is celebrated every year on 6th day of the Hindu month Bhadrapad. The festivities take place either in late August or in the beginning of September. Lolark Kund is the venue of the festival. The word "lolark" means trembling sun. As the reflection of the sun wavers in the waters, the term lolark is used for the festival.
