Kaimoor Wild Life Sanctuary is establishes in 1982 which is located on the Uttar Pradesh - Bihar border. It is wildly spread over 500 sq kms. The sanctuary is reachable easily by road.
The population of the sanctuary includes leopard, chital, blackbuck, peafowl, ratel and chinkara. The main species found here are Blue Bull, Antelope and Leopard. The best time is from November to April when one can see most of the animals as they come out.
The Natural Inhabitants :
The main species of wild animals found in the park are antelope, wild cat, blue bull and bijjju. There are also some different local and migratory birds which are found in the sanctuary. The vegetation grown here is important which includes saal, mahua, sheesham teek, jamun, salai, siddha, jheengar and koraiya.
Accommodation :
There is Forest Rest Houses available in Harrah, Mahuaria and Churk which provide basic facilities for accommodation. There are many other hotels and lodges available for the accommodation which have good facility and service available and are located nearby. Lodges and huts are there for budget accommodation which has some basic facilities.
Tips Before Visit :
When you are visiting the Sanctuary please make sure that clothes or dress is in camouflage color which is khaki, green, etc. Do not make a loud noise which can disturb the lifestyle of the animals there. Do not Litter paper or throw left over food in the forest. Proper precautions should be taken while doing photography which will not disturb the animals and birds there.
