The time that can be taken to complete the Adi Kailash Trek is 23 days.Adi Kailash is also known has Chotta Kailash and is an area of great natural beauty, serenity and peace. During this trek one can get an opportunity to view the snow peaks of thick forests, wild flowers, Annapurna. As it is the replica of Mt. Kailash is many ways especially in appearance and it is close to the Indo-Tibetan border. Gauri Kund is at the very foot of Mount Kailash, which has the reflection of mountain in the water. Parvati Sarovar which is known has Mansarovar is close by but is not as big as the original one. On the bank of this the local people have erected a temple which is devoted to Shiv and Parvati. The Indian pilgrims or Sadhus offers prayer to Lord Shiva here, it was occupied by Tibet from Gunji. After entering the place one can get an idea of why God had chosen this place for domicile.

The Adi Kailash Trek starts from Delhi on the first day the traveling is from New Delhi to Kausani which is 430 kms by bus, then lunch is arranged at the tourist rest house at Bhowali. There is a night halt at Kausani after watching the Himalayan view like sunset, sunrise in Kausani. On the second day in Kausani to Dharchula which is a distance of 199 kms by bus,you can then have lunch at the tourist rest house in Chaukori, after this there is a normal sight seeing and a night halt at Dharchula cottage of Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMVN). On the third day of trekking to Dharchula to Pangu which is 19 kms by bus and 9 kms by trek, after this there is lunch and night halt arranged at the tourist rest house in Pangu. On the fourth day of the trek to Pangu to Sirkha which is 8 kms by trek, one reaches there at lunch which is at the tourist rest house in Sirkha and the night halt at the same place. Then on the fifth day of the trek from Sirkha to Galgad which is 14 kms after completing this there is lunch and a night halt at the tourist rest house of Galgad.

On the sixth day of trek from Galgad to Mapla which is at a distance of 10 kms and after reaching Mapla there is lunch at the tourist rest house and night halt at the same place. On the seventh day of the trek from Maple to Budhi which is at a distance of 8 kms by trek, after that there is lunch and night halt at the tourist rest house at Budhi. Then on the eighth day the journey from Budhi to Gunji starts which is 17 kms by trek, here there is lunch and night halt at tourist rest house at Gunji. Then the ninth day journey of Gunji to Navidang starts having the distance of 18 kms by trek, after such long trekking there is a lunch and night halt at the tourist rest house at Navidang. On the tenth day when the trek started from Navidang to Om Pravat Darshan again to Navidang.

On the eleventh day of the trek from Navidang to Gunji which is 18 kms in distance,lunch is provided and night halt at the tourist rest house at Navidang. On the 12th day of trek from Gunji to Kutti which is 19 kms of trek, there is lunch and night halt at the tourist rest house Kutti. On the thirteenth day of trek from Kutti to Jollingkong which is 14 kms in distance after reaching here there is lunch and night halt at Fibre Hut in Jollingkong. On the 14th day of the trek which starts from Jollinkong to Adi-Kailash which is 4 kms of distance from trek it goes through the Darshan Adi Kailash, halts at Parvati Sarovar for lunch and night halt at Fibre Huts at Jollingkong. On the fifteenth day which starts from Jollingkong to Kutti that is 14 kms by trek, and then there is lunch and night out in Kutti in tents. The journey of the 16th day starts from Kutti to Gunji which is 19 kms from trek; there is lunch and night halt at the tourist rest house at Gunji.

On the seventeenth day of the trek from Gunji to Budhi which is 17 kms by trek after reaching the place there is lunch at the tourist rest house and night halt at the same place. On the 18th day of the trek journey from Budhi to Malpa which is 8 kms by trek, there is lunch and night halt at the Mapla. On the 19th day where the journey starts from Malpa to Galgad which is 10 kms in distance, here there is lunch and night halt at Galgad. On the twentieth day of journey from Galgad to Sirkha which is at a distance of 14 kms by trek, then there is lunch and night halt at the tourist rest house at Sirkha. On the 21st day of the trekking which starts from Sirkha to Dharchula which is of 17 kms in distance by trek and 19 kms by bus, here there is lunch at Twaghat and night halt at the tourist rest house at Dharchula. On the twenty second day of the journey of trekking which starts from Dharchula to Champawat which is 210 kms by bus, here is a halt for lunch at Pithoragarh and night halt at the tourist rest house of Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMNV) of Champawat. On the last day while returning back to New Delhi which starts from Champawat which is 360 kms from bus, people get packed lunch on the way home, and the tour ends here. But the deep memories remain fresh in the mind of trekkers.
