The trek of Bageshwar Pindari is 3 km long of which 1/4th km is connected to the south western slope of the outer walls of the Nanda Devi Sanctuary. This trek is the most beautiful in the Kumaon region of the Himalayas. The trek is of 12 to 13 days which starts from Delhi when the trekkers are asked to arrive there and then spend the night at the hotel. On the second day morning people reach at Kathgodam by train or car and the night is spend at the hotel. On the third day after breakfast the trek starts from Kathgodam to Ranikhet which is 94 kms after reaching here the night is spend in a hotel. On the fourth Day of the early morning the journey starts from Ranikhet to Saung which is at a distance of 125 kms which goes via Kausani and Bageshwar Pindari, then carry on to Wayfarer camp which is beyond Loharkhet where there is an overnight camp.
On the fifth day of the trek from Loharkhet to Dhakuri which is 11 kms from here the actual trek starts, here there is an overnight camp. On the sixth day there is an easy trek from Dhakuri to Khati which has an overnight camp . On the seventh day of the trek which starts from Khati to Phurkia which is at a distance of 18 kms this trek passes through Dwali along the Pindari River, here there is an overnight camp. On the eighth day of the trek which starts from Zero Point to Dwali one can take a glance of the Zero Point and then the trek again returns back to Dwali. On the 9th day the trek again goes back from Dwali to Khati which covers the distance of 11 kms which too has an overnight camp. On the tenth day there is again the continuation of the journey back from Khati to Dhakuri which covers a distance of 18 kms. Then on the 11th day of the trek from Dhakuri to Vijaypur this goes to Saung and later it reaches Vijaypur via Bageshwar Bageshwar Pindari, here is an overnight stay at the hotel. On the 12th day there is a drive which starts from Vijaypur to Kathgodam and later to Delhi and then one can take a train or bus to reach Delhi. After reaching Delhi later people can move to the airport or station.
At the final destination of the trek one can get a lovely view which can remain in the mind forever. |
