An idyllic hamlet, Binsar is famed for the splendid view, it offers great vistas of the Kumaon Himalayas. This much acclaimed hill resort offers some of the splendid panoramic views of Himalayas, which includes popular summits like Chaukhamba, Kedarnath, Trishul, Nanda Kot, Nanda Devi and Panchchuli. During the bygone era, the temple of Bineshwar was a popular place for Pilgrimage, which is a popular landmark of this hill station.

One can get a panoramic view of the Almora town from the Binsar hills. The Binsar hills which are commonly called Jhandi Dhar also offer some of the rewarding scenes of Kumaon Himalayas.

Excursions in Binsar City :

The natural surroundings of Binsar are filled with ferns, alpine flora, hanging mosses and myriad wild flowers. The following excursions from Binsar can be organized easily.

Almora :

The district head quarters of Almora will give you a hint of traditional scene as the houses in this town displays tiled roofs and the streets are paved like olden days. The Bright and Corners are famous for its remarkable views of the sunset and sunrise and is situated in Almora town. Tourists can also find the visit to Almora if they take a look at the spots like Nanda Devi temple, Deer park, Chitai temple and Ram Krishna Mission Ashram.

Jalna :

Jalna is located at a distance of 59 kms from Binsar and it is perched at a height of 5500 ft. the grand height of the city makes it quite attractive as it enables visitors to have a wide view of the Himalayas. Another attraction in Jalna is a fruit orchard. The city harbors several fruit orchards that produce fruit such as peaches, apricots, plums, pears and apples. 

Jageshwar :

This is yet another religious center of the Hindus where the spirit of Shiva prevails. Jageshwar is a temple town, which houses 12 jyotirlingas of India. This town lies on the road that leads to Almora from Pithoragarh. The town includes a gigantic temple complex consisting 124 temples. This complex is famous for the pristine glory it preserves, exhibition of architectural finesse and the natural settings.
