The beautiful garden is placed brilliantly amidst the placid Hussain Sagar Lake and the twin city of Secunderabad and Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh. This garden is a jewel for Andhra Pradesh. This garden was constructed around the Samadhi or the memorial of the renowned Ex Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao also known as N.T Rama Rao.This garden is sprawled over 36acres of equally trimmed land. This garden offers spectacular views of all the exotic flowers and also provides with recreational facilities which is popular with all of them .This garden is taken care by the (Hyderabad Urban Development Authority) HUDA.This place was used as a dumping site with fowl smell all the day, but now this is the most serene place away from all the hustle and bustle of the city.
This is one of the favorite spot for the tourists and locals as this garden also offers Machan Tree, Car Café, Japanese Garden, Children’s Park, Souvenir Shops, Ant Hill and Fruit Restaurant(The unique feature of this restaurant is that it is placed amidst three small but beautiful lake.). You can also avail a pleasure trip in the monorail that will take you to the entire garden.
The NTR Gardens is full of tall trees and bushes that are enough as fresh oxygen is provided to the nearby areas. The species of plants includes some of the unique one that is just found in Hyderabad alone. There are more than 15,450 varieties of shrubs and around 2050 trees in the NTR Gardens. There is a great variety in the ornamental plants as most of them are seasonal and blossoms in rotational basis for a varied and changing landscape throughout the year. Fountains acts as the refreshing and enduring thin to enjoy as they are lighted up in the evening. The entire garden is lighted up and there is a light and sound show held here. The scene of colorful water coming out of the veil is really amazing.
