This is one of the pilgrimages of the Andhra Pradesh, which located about ten kilometers by boat from the Narsapur, comes under the district West Godavari. From the Razole town, the distance of this location is around twenty four kilometers, but through road. Narsapur village is positioned at the convergence of Vasishta Godavari & sea; this branch of Godavari River is one among the other seven branches. This religious pilgrimage is very essential spiritual destination of Andhra Pradesh; which attracts pilgrims of long distance. People believe this place very much holy, because this is a place of convergence, that why it is known as Sapta Sagara Sangam Pradesam. This place is one of the seven divine bathing spots, which contains much importance. Dakshina Kasi spot of this pilgrimage is a major blessed attraction of Antarvedi. You must be thinking why this place got the name Antarvedi, so the story behind the name of this pilgrimage is to remove all the sins, Lord Brahma performed Rudra Yaga on this land, and made this place Vedic; because of which it got the name Antarvedi. Hiranyakshapu's son called Raktavilchana, he killed about 100 Vashista's sons. On the horror time, Vashista was absent; but he was spectator through his magical power and that’s why see saw it from the Brahmloka. At that time, to stop the coming destroy through the Raktavilochana, Vashista started praying to Lord Narasimha.

Lord Narasimha granted his pray and he came to destroy the devil; that devil was boon sent by Lord Siva, the number of drops of devil's blood will fall in the sand, that much body forms will get generate. To stop the creation of the bodies from the devil's blood, Lord Narasimha made Maya Shakti, which cut the Raktavilochana's hands, and destroyed him. On the spiritual day, Vashista installed the picture of the Lord Narasimha in the attendance of all gods at this Antarvedi pilgrimage and they sang the praise for him. After some years, this pilgrimage place became a huge Jungle; the cow heard were calling it as a Keshavadas, where those people used to come with their cattle. Cow heard found that his one cow was downpour the milk and she was returning home dry; he took much tension at that time in the dream, he saw Lord Narasimha, he told him to build a shrine on that place of him. As per the instruction of the Lord Narasimha, he built a shrine of Lord on the anthill. In the year of 1923, Sri Narendra Narasimha Rao improved the shrine as thankfulness to the God, because their boat was saved from the Sea's dangerous weaves.

Antarvedi pilgrimage temple is an island shrine, which is a most respectful temple among the Narasimha Kshetras 32 other shrine place, situated in the Andhra Pradesh. Here you will also get to see the Lakshminarayan shrine, which is committed to the Lord Narasimha. Because of its unusual and amazing idol of the Lord Narasimha, numbers of people visit this temple. Idol's half body is man and rest half is of lion; it is an appearance of the Lord Vishnu. At the anthill, Lord Narasimha is evident. Lord Narasimha's idol has been placed where he was materialized on the stone form. Near this pilgrimage, you will get to see numbers of shrines such as Anjaneya, Nilakanteswara, and Sri Rama. These spiritual spots are the memory of the past life or period. These spots are linked with various August Munies like Vashista, Brahma and Sri Rama. On the day of Bhima Ekadasi, all the pilgrims get together at Antarvedi pilgrimage temple to celebrate the Lakshmi Narsimha Kalyanam. This Festival held in the month of January and February, hundreds of pilgrims come to attend the festival.
