Kambham Lake is located in Rajahmundry that is to the east of Godavari District. It is also widely called as Kambhala Cheruvu, Kambham Vari Cheruvu,. It is said to be constructed by Mr. Kambham Narasingarao Pantulu in 185-1850.
Kambhala Cheruvu, Kambham Vari Cheruvu ( Kambala Lake) was dug at the time of construction of choultry where only death ceremonies are performed. This choultry is unique as it is the place where only death ceremonies are performed. Even in a holy place like Varanasi (kashi) people cannot find such a choultry where only death ceremonies are under taken.
