Akashaganga, Andhra Pradesh, India :
Akashaganga is a gorgeous and small waterfall sited close to the temple which is at a distance of 9 kms. In Tirumala there is Sri Varahaswami temple placed to the north of the Sri Venkateswara temple that is on the banks of Swami Puskarani. The waterfall lies in Tirumala of Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh. The other close by attraction to this waterfall is Papavinasanam, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Gardens, Lepakshi Emporium, Asthana Mandapam and many more places.
Number of people from various parts of the country comes to visit this place. In the early morning there is a long queue for the ‘Darshan’ of the Lord and before taking Darshan the devotees go for a bath under this waterfall. This is regarded as a sacred waterfall. It is believed that by taking bath under this waterfall the sins and worries are washed away and human is purified to take Darshan of Lord.

Other than this place the close by attractions are Papvinasanam waterfalls. To the north of the temple, 1 kms away there is Silathoranam which is an unusual geological formation. If one wishes to purchase or do shopping for exclusive and attractive handicrafts at reasonable prices and is situated close to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Central Reception Office. The beautiful ornamental gardens are of T.T.D gardens which has rare species of plants and trees and Asthana Mandapam.
Tips before Trip :
Please take special care of the small children when going in the waterfall. Take a pair of clothes and shoes and food can be carried along with you. Do not throw left over food which can take away the beauty of this place and spoil this place. Take a medicated kit which will be helpful anytime.
