Anupu Waterfalls is sited at a distance of 4 kms from Nagarjuna Sagar in Andhra Pradesh. The vital findings here are Ruins of an ancient Buddhist University.
During the construction of the Nagarjunasagar dam-(is world’s largest masonry dam), the ruins of Buddhist university were excavated. These ruins have been cautiously rebuilt at Anupu on the east bank of the reservoir, a feat alike to the ‘Abu Simbel’ effort in Egypt in Anupu.
