Kuntala waterfall is located in Kuntal village which is a small village. This village is around 11 kms away from Nirmal in Adilabad district. The population of this village is around 145 people. It is situated on the banks of river Kadam which is tributary of Godavari River. This waterfall is very popular among people as it is the highest waterfall of Andhra Pradesh and is visited by number of people in the month from August to September.
From an elevation of 45 m, the River Kadam falls and enters Khanapur independent sub-Taluk. This waterfall is called as the Kuntala waterfall which is the highest waterfall in Andhra Pradesh. After the monsoon rains these waterfalls gloriously manifest themselves.
People from all the corners of the state visit this place and they come here to enjoy the breathtaking beautiful hills and forests surrounded all over which is very pleasant for eyes. This is a famous spot which is mostly liked by picnic goers. On weekends people mostly come here with their friends and family to enjoy the natural beauty of this place.
