Karnataka is a culture-rich state that is renowned for its age-old traditional art and architecture. Though a commercial town, now  the state's cultural legacy can be attributed to various dynasties that ruled here from time to time. If talking about Karnataka cities, they are the unique mix of modernity and antiquity. Bangalore, the capital city, is today the major IT hub of India. Known for its beautifully laid parks and gardens, this city is also a preferred tourist destination. The sites that are worth visiting here are Cubbon Park, Lalbagh, Ulsoor Lake, and Bull Temple. Considered as one of the most happening cities of India, the striking contrasts can be seen in the form of Industrialization and magnificent architecture.

Mysore, one of the most visited Karnataka cities, has a plethora of architectural structures including places and temples. The commercial city Mangalore is the cosmopolitan hub of the state. Its dramatic Yakshagana Dance form is unique to the state. Commonly called as "Queen of Deccan", the splendid city of Bijapur is laced with royal grandeur. Umpteen architectural palaces, monuments, and mosques form part of this spectacular city. Gol Gumbaz is a wonder of Adil Shahi Empire while Jumma Masjid is one of the finest mosques of the place.

Aihole, counted amongst the architectural Karnataka cities, is again a brilliant example of the craftsmanship of Chalukya period. There are numerous temples that are scattered here; Durga Temple, Hutchmalli, Ravalphadi Cave are its main attractions. Located at 194 kilometers from Bangalore, Hassan is a picturesque destination of Karnataka. Its salubrious climate will make your stay a pleasant experience.

One of the most picturesque places of  Karnataka cities is Coorg. Its natural beauty and graceful hospitality shown by the local inhabitants will make your visit worth remembering.

Belur is commonly called "South Banaras" and like other Karnataka cities has a number of temples dedicated to several gods and goddesses. Its Chennakesava Temple and bracket figures are the noticeable features. Badami, a city with abundant natural beauty, is popular for its cave temples. Kudremukh's iron ore mining are world famous; this city rests in tranquil surroundings and a preferred hill station for spending vacations.

The cities like Shimoga, Raichur, Hospet, Chitrdurga, Annigeri, Dharwad, and Gulbarga also form lovely vacation sites. There is a whole lot in Karnataka cities that you can look forward to see.
