Raja Gulchand had built the Gulbarga Fort. This fort was later reconstructed by Ala-ud-din-Bahmani. This fort is well known for the 26 guns and 15 towers. Amongst the gun, there was a gun which was around 8 mts. long. The fort has a mosque which resembles the most famous mosque of Spain famous as Cordova.
The mosque present here is very unique and different from the other mosque. The other tombs that belong to Bahamani Sultan is located in the eastern zone of the town. The amazing fort of Gulbarga went through many battles and got injured by Krishna Devraya. It was raised like a grand fort and it was repaired by Adil Shah which was captured from many wars.
The fort was razed by the king of Vijay Nagar, Krishna Devraya. It became a grand fort after the reconstruction made by Adil Shah from Vijay Nagar.
