The beautiful and rich Lal Bagh Garden is a lovely 240 acres park located in the southerly part of Bangalore.Lal Bagh Botanical Garden is one of the popular parks of Bangalore. The name of the park is derived from the abundance of beautiful Red Roses that it possesses. This beautiful garden was laid by the kings of Mysore.This garden was built by Haider Ali and this garden was eventually completed by his son, Haider Ali.
The rock over here is 1 of the most former rock structures in India and is also believed to be approximately three thousand millions old.
Major Attraction :
This garden comprises of expansive lawns, valuable and rare set of stifling plants attracts hoards of tourists.
This garden also houses many unusual species of sub tropical and tropical flowers and plants.
Few of the fauna and flora have been imported from Persian, Italy and also European Countries, which are unique, and not to be found anywhere else.
Glass House :
The park also boosts a glass house that replicates London’s Crystal Palace.
The park also has Watch Towers of Kempe Gowda,Deer Park and a lawn clock bordered by seven dwarfs and snow white.
Flower Clock :
One of the clock manufacturer, HMT have setted up. It is a huge clock measuring 7 mts and is beautifully decorated with varicolored flowers. This clock runs by some electronic watch mechanism.
Horticultural Society of Mysore :
The Lal Bagh Garden abodes the main office of the Horticulture Society. Timing: (8.00am-12.00pm)
Flower Shows :
Flowers are displayed in the week of Republic Day and Independence Day.
Lal Bagh Botanical Garden is open from Morning 6.00 am-Evening 6.00pm.
