Biligirirangana betta hill station is another magnificent place of Karnataka state. From Mysore City the distance is about one hundred and twenty kilometers and another developed city Banglore is about two hundred and forty seven kilometers away . The ranges of Biligirirangana hills are located among the Tungabhadra River and Cauvery River. The height of Biligiriranga hill station is about five hundred and ninety one ft, over the sea level. The ranges has been stretched from the northern side to the southern side, it is around sixteen kilometers.This hill station is bounded by the densely populated trees, the whole forest area is covered by the wild animals. If you are looking for a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere with some wild animals, then Biligirirangana betta hill station is an ideal place for you. Your morning at this hill station would start by the chirping sound of the various birds and droning bees. This hill station is away from all types of pollution that’s why it provides you a very fresh and pure air. Major Attractive Spots :

Kanchikole :

This is a destroyed ancient fort. It was constructed by Shivanasamudra's Gangaraja.

Billigirirahnaswamy Temple :

This religious temple is located over the loftiest peak. This temple belongs to the ancient time; from this temple, hill station got its name as  Biligirirangana Betta . This temple has been dedicated to Venkatesha, the temple is famous as Ranganatha.

Rath Festival :

The festival of Vaishakha,is held on this hill station; in April . After every 2 years, the tribal people dedicate a huge pair of slipper,which measures 9 inches and 1 foot to their deity, this slipper is made of animal skin.

Biligirirangaswamy Sanctuary :

This wildlife sanctuary is stretched over the area of five hundred and forty square kilometers. It includes Sambar, Panthers, Gaur, Bears, Chital, Tigers and Elephants etc.

Himvad Gopalaswany Hills :

These hills come under Mysore district. Himvad Gopalaswamy hills are located within the green western ghats. This is a favorite spot of the trekking lover and it is also famous for vacation resorts.

If you are planning to reach this place by air, then Bangalore has an airport.

There are frequent bus services available, which takes you to Biligirirangana Betta hill station from  Chamarajanagar, Banglore and Yelandur.

The closest railhead is also Bangalore railhead.
