Karnataka state's Gopalaswamy betta hill station is located at a height of one thousand four hundred fifty four meters. This hill station is very delightful, which is situated about seventy four kilometers away from the city Mysore. Majority of the time, this hill station is hideen within the hill's peaks and clouds. Taking a walk on the road of this hill station, is a real joy and also pleasant. As fog increases over the hills peak, the surrounding area of this hill station gets invisible; the entire hill station looks striking. Gopalaswamy betta hill station has several beautiful valleys, hills and gorges such as Hamsadri, Pallava, Neeladri, Mallikajunagiri & Garudadri. Proliferated by the scarce flora, which is the real wealth of this hill station. This place has different kinds of medicinal plants.
This has been covered by wood and as compared to other hill stations of Karnataka, this is a very silent place.This spot is standing similar to the watch tower of the Bandipur Wildlife Sanctuary. This location is a best picnic spot. This location also includes the destroyed fort, made by the Terakanambi's Palegars and also the shrine, which was considered to be supported through the Maharaja's of Mysore.
