Kemmanagundi hill station is an amazing place, which comes within the district called Chikmagalur. This place is totally covered by the verdant. This hill station is also known as K.R. Hills. The Wodeyar king Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV had made this hill station an ideal summer camp location. This hill station is located over the Baba Budan ranges. The location of this hill station is at one thousand four hundred thirty four meters height. If you are tired and fed up by the pollution and heat, traffic and crowd then, this is a perfect location of Karnataka, where you can take out all your tiredness and live in a relaxed atmosphere. This hill station has been covered by the densely green forests, the environment of this place is very peaceful. Here you will regain all your energy and freshness. The natural characteristics of Kemmanagundi hill station are verdant gardens, sun rays, striking views, during the morning time; the entire hill station looks like it has taken a deep bath within the bright & shining rays of sun.

Kalhatti Hills :

This spot is also popular by name of Kalahasti falls. The water of this fall drops down from one hundred and twenty two meter height. The surroundings of this falls are magically beautiful. From the Kemmanagundi hill station if you are moving towards this falls, then the distance is about ten kilometers. This spot too has a small temple; this is located in between the gaps of the rocks. Annually a Jatra is organized at this place, for 3 days and numbers of pilgrims attend this Jatra, they come from near and far places.

Hebbe Falls :

From the hill station , Hebbe Falls is located about eight kilometers away. Here the water drops down from the one hundred sixty eight meter height.

Visit :

This Hill station is very well linked through the road transport to Bangalore, Chikmaglur and Shimoga.

You can also reach here by rail, the closest railhead is Tarikere.
