The state of Kerala is known as ‘Gods Own World’ because of its beauty which lies on every part of the state. The Trekking in Kerala gives a beautiful experience by the milky white water and the soothing noise of the flowing water and the lush greenery around. The Trekking in Kerala is famous among with most of the local people and they come here to enjoy trekking with their friends or the group with whom they trek.

People who are nature lovers just don’t have any words when they view the beauty while trekking in Kerala. There are many tourists who love to trek in Kerala which offers the most charming trekking experience. The trekking paths are in Western Ghats which are full of lush green forests where some of the treks are exciting and adventurous and some of them are captivating in the same way. The trekking in Kerala is done in some of the main places like Agastyarkoodam Peak, Chembra Peak and the Pythal Mala which are famous among  most of the trekkers.

Trekking in Kerala :

Agastyarkoodam Peak is a wonderful peak placed in the Western Ghats which has an altitude of about 1868 m above sea level and is in the form of a cone. It is situated in Thiruvananthapuram that is at a distance of 61 kms. If one desires to trek here then they have go from Bonacaud which is 61 kms of trekking and from Neyyar Dam they have to trek for around 32 kms. This place has attracted many people for its unusual flower ‘Neelakurinji’ which blooms on one occasion in twelve years. From December to April is the excellent time to enjoy trekking at this place.

Chembra Peak is the uppermost peak in the district of Wayanad. It is placed towards the west of Kapetta which is at a distance of around 14 kms. It is located at an altitude of 2100 m above sea level. There are many people attracted towards this peak because of its lake which is sited at the pinnacle of the peak. Due to the stature of this peak, trekkers take pleasure of the breathtaking and panaromic view of the ambiance. This is recognized as one of the finest places for trekking.

Pythal Mala is situated in Kannur town that is at a distance of 65 kms from this peak. It is placed at an altitude of 4,500 m above sea level which offers an enormous and quaint view of the nearby areas. The flora and fauna established in this place has been a part of a major attraction for the tourists. It is a renowned hill resort where thousands of tourists arrive every year to experience the adventure of trekking.
