Situated on the National Highway NH 47 between Aluva and Ernakulam, Edappally Perunnal is the feast of the Roman ancient Catholic Chruch. The feast starts from 23rd April but the chief ceremony is carried on the 4th of May.
The procession starts where the statue of St.George is carried out on the ornate chariot. The main offerings during the festival are the fowls. The procession is accompanied with bright colored parasols with brilliant display on the festival of Edappally Perunnal. The prime attractions here are the Dutch Palace, Fort Kochi Beach, Bolghatty Palace and Jewish Synagogue. |
