This is one of the leading monuments of the Kerala state. It was constructed during the year of 1506. Governor of the Portuguese empire used to stay here. This house is situated on the small hillock which is very much close to the Parade ground. The front part of this Bishops house has been created and decorated by the huge Gothic Arches. This house has been decorated by many interesting things, like there is a garden path in the rounded shape; which is an entering road of the house. This Bishop house was captured by the Dome Gomes Ferreira. Cochin's twenty seventh Bishop who was Cochin's diocese; his period of jurisdiction was increased till the Malaya, Burm and also Ceylon and there was one more addition of country India.
This monument is located in such a beautiful place, that, numbers of attractive places are situated in the nearest area such as Kochi Beach fort, Bolghatty Palace, Jewish Synagogue and Dutch palace.
