This one of the main monument located close to Arikkode; in Thekkegramam. The Chittur Garumandam monument is situated over the Sokanasini River's bank . This monument is made in memory of the ancient thunchath Ezhuthachan. He was a great poet of the earlier times, and had written many literatures, Adhyatama Ramayana is one of his literature art. This great poet had spent his last days in the monument. In this memorial monument, there are some things which Thunchath Ezhuthachan used such as wooden slippers, some idols of God like Srichakra, which he used to worship and also some of his oldest manuscripts and literature.
Chittur Garumadam is very beautiful and elegant because an artistic person lived here.You can see many ancient artifacts which you haven't seen ever, because all the things which are preserved are used by the great artists.
