Hill Palace Museum is located 10 kms away from Kochi in Kerala. It is said and found that the palace turned Museum was built in1865 AD. The main attraction is that it is the first Heritage Museum in Kerala. The Museum is open on all days except Monday between 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. Traditional architectural style is used to build this building. The museum is widely spread over the area of 52 acres of terraced land.
Krishna Menon Museum is situated close to the Pazhassi Raja Museum, Kozhikode (Calicut). The Museum is named after the late V.K. Krishna Menon. The Museum has a great set of paintings by Ravi Verma and raja Verma.
Kuthiramalika Palace Museum is located close to the Padmanabhaswamy temple in Thiruvananthapuram. This beautiful building is built by Maharaja Swathi Thirunal Balaram Varma. The museum houses a great set of paintings and other items or things of interests of the Royal Family. The Museum is open on all days for the visit of the tourists who come from far and distance places. The tourists can visit this museum between 8.30 am to 12.30 am and 3.00 pm to 5.30 pm.
Museum of Kerala History is situated near Ernakulam which is around 10 kms away in Kerala. Many people including local and from distance places come here to see the Light and Sound Show which is a major attraction there. The main focus is on the Makers of Kerala’s History. The show can be seen on different timings like 10.00, 10.30, 11.00, 11.30, 12.00, 14.00, 14.30, 15.00, 15.30, 16.00 hrs and on Monday and Public holidays the museum is closed. There is a minimal fee to enter the museum which is different for children and adults.
Napier Museum is located in Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala. It is also popular among the people and is famous as Government Art Museum. The Museum is beautifully designed by Chisholm who was an English Architecture. The Museum is full of Life size Statues of Kathakali Dancers.
Pazhassi Raja Museum is located at East Hill and is 5 kms away from Kozhikode in Kerala. It has absolute resources trove for connoisseurs and historians of art. The main attraction here is the Ancient Murals inside the museum. The Museum is now under the observation of Archaeological Survey of Kerala. The art gallery and museum is named in memory of the great Pazhassiraja Kerla Verma.
Priyadarshani Planetarium is located in Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala. The most important part of this place is that it is the most sophisticated and Horizontal Planetarium in India. The main feature of this planetarium is that it is centrally Air Conditioned Sky Theatre. The timings for the show that is run in the planetarium is 10.30 am, 12.00 pm, 15.00 pm, 17.00 pm.
Science & Technology Museum is situated in Thiruvananthapuram in Kerla which was made with the main goal of setting up of galleries with animated or working and participatory type of exhibits, on all disciplines of Science and Technology. Shree Chitra Art Gallery is located in Thiruvananthapuram in Kerla which houses a great set of Paintings by Raja Ravi Verma, Nicholas Roerich and Svetlova and the exquisite work of Rajput, Tanjore and Mughal schools of art in India. Apart from this, the Museum also houses an amazing set of Paintings from China, Tibet, Japan and Bali. Tourists can visit this Museum all days except Wednesday and morning of Friday. The timing to visit this museum for the tourists is from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.
