Chethalayam Waterfalls is located near Sulthan Bathery which is at a distance of 12 kms from the waterfall and lies on the Pulpalli Main Road. This is a waterfall that offers breathtaking and picturesque view and many people come here to enjoy this place. The other attraction near this waterfall is the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary. This is one of the popular destinations and is famous as a picnic spot  among most of the people.

For the view of this beautiful waterfall one can trek for 4 kms from Chethalayam. There is another famous tourist spot near called Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary. It is also popularly called as Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary. The sanctuary is famous for its rich collection of animals such as Spotted Deer, Elephants, Sambhar, Gaur and Sloth Bear. The area covered by this sanctuary is 344 sq kms and is at a distance of 15 kms from Sulthan Bathery.

Tips before Trip :

The trekkers or tourists have to compulsory go in groups so they can help the other members. Take some food along with you. People who are new to trekking should go along the groups who have knowledge in trekking. Tourists should take good pair of shoes and a stick along with them. Do not throw the left over food any where on the route. Also do not forget to carry a long rope along with you which can help you anywhere if needed.
