Carambolim Lake is the sports tourist spot of Goa. Situated at a distance of 12 kms from Panaji, in the Carambolim village. The purpose of this lake is irrigation; the local village  is also served by Carambolim Lake.

The Carambolim Lakes rainwater fades during the Monsoon season and during winter and monsoons many spices of birds built their nest.Activities of flurry and birds are carried in the whole area during the season of nesting.  The numbers of birds which come are around ten thousand in number by the month of February every year. The birds that come here Lesser Whistling Teal, ,Cotton Pygmy, Pond Heron, Coots, Pintall Ducks, Little Egret, Marsh Harriers and Swallow.

The nearby attraction near this lake is the Ciba-Geigy Chemical Works, which created a pleasant nature reserve.
