Bhadra Fort, Gujarat :
The Bhadra Fort and Teen Darwaza, is among the spectacular monuments in Ahmedabad.This beautiful fort attracts major tourists from all over the world. The Fort belongs to the medieval period and is situated in Ahmedabad. Sultan Ahmed constructed this building in 1411 AD. The intricate design of the fort and the latticed window attracts tourist from all over the world. In Ahmedabad it is known as one of the majestic buildings and is split over 43 acres. There are many building which looks like a palace with the Nagina Baugh inside the fort. The name of the fort is influenced from the name of ‘Bhadra Kali’ who is a Hindu Goddess.
The royal grandeur fort stands tall in the city as being the most popular place among tourists. The main features of the fort are beautifully carved balconies, carved arches and the Jali work. The curves in the fort are supported by Islamic inscriptions. The Eastern side of the gate has a gigantic gateway known as Teen Darwaja, which is the biggest attraction.
There are many historical sculptures to be discovered in Bhadra Fort. There are many places you can visit such as the royal court, the dungeons, the deluxe rooms of kings and other rooms and halls in the fort. The other interesting place inside the compound is the Mosque of Sidi Sayed.
Now the place is used for flag hosting on Republic Day and Independence Day. There are many offices of Government such as post office, office of the Archeological Survey of India and the sculpture of the city’s first Industrialist.
