This multipurpose museum has put on display the rich objects and collection of treasures that were once used by Gaekwad family.
Baroda Museum and Art Gallery :
This popular museum is made more interesting for visitors by clubbing an elaborate picture gallery with it. This museum is located in Sayaji Bagh and displays several European arts. It also showcases the personal belongings of Maharaja Sayaji Rao Gaekwad. Besides these, the museum proudly preserves some of the great sculptures of Greece and Rome. Calico Museum of Textile :
This museum stands out from the rest of the museums for its enormous collection of textile painting and craft. There is a huge assortment of patachitras and pichhwais which are paints and craft made on a piece of cloth. This museum comprises of two separate buildings. One of the buildings displays textiles used in different religions and the other building houses traditional fabrics, carpets, tents and costumes.
Gandhi Museum :
As the name implies this museum is exclusive a home for the memoirs of Mahatma Gandhi. There is a special library that includes audio-visual articles like voice tapes, lecture records and microfilms of M.K. Gandhi.
