Ganapatipule beach is one of the most famous tourist spots in proximity with Kolhapur city, just about 150km apart. It falls under the same Ratnagiri district situated 50km from it. This temple was built with sand dunes, thus forming the name combining Ganesha and sand dunes, the local village is also known as Ganapatipule.
